Our client, one of the fastest growing providers of public safety and security solutions globally, is looking to expand their team of professionals within their research and development centre in Germany. With long term prospects providing stability and career development, our employer is seeking to appoint Product Architects to their international product and solution management team who will support the growth and development of their projects globally. Our client provides end to end solutions to its customers including project management and software intensive solutions as well as solutions for companies and public institutions.
Reporting to the Vice President - Development, the Software Product Architect will lead the design effort on a variety of projects in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment. Following a lean and agile development methodology, the product architect will take responsibility for the design of innovative solutions to real market problems and will work closely with product owners and marketing managers, user interaction designers and software engineers to develop new product offerings and improve existing ones.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing user interaction models, workflows and user interfaces
- Integrating internal and external product design into a cohesive user experience
- Creating prototypes and authoring detailed interaction specifications
- Working with user experience researchers to design and observe usability studies
- Translating usability and field research findings into design improvements
- Working with visual designers to improve and refine product visual design and consistency
- Successfully communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale
Essential attributes include:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in human factors, computer science or comparable field.
- A minimum of 6+ years of experience in leading large design efforts and coordinating project teams of 5 or more members
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Mastery of user interaction design skills
- Familiarity with field and lab
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to communicate design rationale and build consensus
- Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast
- Ability to develop new approaches to complex design problems
- Must be organized, have an eye for detail, and be able to put abstract ideas in to a tangible form.
